Sailing shipbuilding has long been one of the most conservative areas in the yachting industry. At that time, as bold experiments with the exterior had long been carried out in the motor segment and very unexpected futuristic projects were constantly appearing, sailing yachts were still built according to tradition and in mainly did not undergo radical changes.
However, at the end of the last century, a revolution took place — together with a technological breakthrough in design and the transition from culmans to computer modeling systems, a conceptually different image of a sailing yacht appeared. Carbon fiber composite began to be used not only for the most expensive professional projects such as the Americas Cup, but also for ordinary cruise yachts.
Noble minimalism, straight lines and simple forms, together with luxurious quality execution, became dominant both in the exterior and in the interiors of yachts of a new, avant-garde direction.
