Along with the awakening of nature from its winter sleep, the cycle of folk spring holidays associated with ancient myths and beliefs, accompanied by songs, rites, dances, begins.
In their fairy tales, Ukrainians created a wonderful image of spring — a beautiful girl with a wreath of flowers on her head. She is a welcome and long-awaited guest, girls call her with songs, children meet her with gifts - sweet cookies in the form of birds.
Spring is personified by the best of the girls, who puts on a white embroidered shirt, puts a wreath of flowers on her head and gives gifts to the girls - wreaths that announce the wedding.
