When it comes to the rules of sailing races at an amateur regatta, it often find the image of something formal, complicated and somewhat secondary to the main task — to overtake everyone!
But sailing is interesting because it's not like a regular "cross", yacht racing actually turns out to be a difficult tactical game with opponents. There are often situations when yachts must obey several conflicting rules at the same time. This usually occurs when several yachts cannot safely separate. There are not so many rules for traffic on the water for such cases - when the yachts are on opposite tacks, the yacht on the left tack must avoid the yacht on the right tack.
Basically, the main principles are courtesy and safety.
On the high seas, you are free to do whatever you want as long as your behavior remains reasonable and does not lead to undue risk.
Everything is the same as in ordinary "land" life - DO NOT DISTURB THOSE WHO ARE NEAR

ABOUT QUALITY
