🌺🍃🌸 A wreath woven from flowers and herbs, decorated with bright ribbons, is one of the oldest Ukrainian symbols, and the image of a Ukrainian girl is impossible without a head beautifully crowned with flowers.
Ribbons were measured along the length of the braid to hide it.
The light brown one was knitted first in the center - a symbol of the earth-nurturer, yellow ones on the sides - a symbol of the sun; behind them - light and dark green - beauty and youth; blue and navy - the sky and water, which give strength and health.
Next came hot yellow - a symbol of bread, purple - wisdom, crimson - sincerity and sincerity, pink - abundance.
White was weave only when its ends were embroidered with silver and gold (the sun on the left, the moon on the right). The unembroidered ribbon was not tied, it was a symbol of memory of the dead. The girls weaving the poppy into the wreath tied a red ribbon to it a symbol of sadness and magic.
The orphan wove light blue ribbons into the braid and into the wreath and then people at the meeting presented such a girl with gifts, bread, money, wished her to become happy and rich. In gratitude, the girl gave them a ribbon from a wreath.
Today the question of national revival is particularly relevant, because the construction of a strong modern independent state is impossible without a strong national and historical foundation, a significant component of which is our national symbols
