In ancient India, roses were so revered that there was even a law according to which anyone who brought a rose to the king could ask him for anything he wanted!
In Greece, the rose was considered a gift from the gods. The bride was decorated with wreaths of roses, they were given to loved ones, the Greeks paved the path of the winner returning home with roses
In Germanic culture, there is a legend about the god of fire Loki, who laughed with the arrival of spring and from his laughter the cold escapes, the snow melts and the earth is covered with roses.  Quite romantic
One thing is clear - the rose is the real queen of flowers, having many forms, colors, a magical aroma and fascinating flowering!  Some species are used to make perfumes, and some are even edible - jam, wine and sweets are made from them
 
It's sad that now they don't make wishes come true for a rose, as it was in ancient India, but I also have a lot of roses growing and my wish list is always ready....
